How to review one of the most hated movies of the year? I'm not sure if this is hated because of the critics, or if you actually went to the theater to see it. That's your business, but I am one who went to see it in theaters.
Now Madame Web was in no shape or form the best movie I saw this year. I feel it could've been better. Gave us a little more on the other characters instead of just sidelining them for basically the majority of the movie. I do get Madame Web was the focus, but don't make it too obvious. There is a way to share the love with the other characters and still focus on the main.
With that being said, I did not hate the movie. I actually did enjoy it. It may be the part of me that loves that they are bringing light to other less popular comic book characters and not completely overdoing the popular characters.
I do hope they give the characters another chance despite the box office failure, but only time will tell. But I do hope comic book movie fans try to give it more of a chance if you end up seeing it on Streaming someday. Maybe the heat of spending the money was causing a little bit of frustration and I get it.
My honest opinion though, is it wasn't a great movie, but it wasn't a bad movie ither. The cast did a great job with what they were given!

What is hollywood's deal with Henry Cavill lately? Sidelining him, because he stands firm to protect his favorite stories and characters? Really? That's what we love about him.
Two movies in one year and barely any advertisements. It's a shame.
Now The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare was one of my favorite movies of the year. Not entirely a biopic film, but was inspired by true events and it had so much action!
Henry Cavill and his fellow castmates and crew did a wonderful job in bringing this film to life! I have already watched it several times and my family enjoys it too. Which is nice at times, because my tastes are very different than there's and sometimes puts me down when no one will watch movies with me, but I deal with it and enjoy films for what they are!
Great addition to the year of films!

My favorite actress finally returns to the big screen in a film not very many people these days would enjoy.
Space Biopic Movies aren't very popular these days, though I don't hear of much of them anymore. Also, this may not be a full biopic. Some of it may be fictionalized, not sure can't find a real answer to that.
Regardless, I quite enjoyed Fly Me to the Moon. It had some comedy, some heart and just a great story that kept me hooked since the beginning. Scarlett Johansson stretched her talent in this film, and it was great to see her again since I don't think I personally seen her in anything since Black Widow, which I loved that movie as well!
But anyway, if you love nice Space films it's a great film to add to your watchlist!

Now going into this film I was very unfamilar with the topic, as I have never read any of the books. I have been seeing a lot of hate on the author of the books which I don't understand, but I am very protective of fellow authors.
Anyway, I decided to go and watch It Ends With Us a few days after its release and I loved it. Now let me tell you, it is very rare for a movie to reach an emotional response from me. It is to the point many people think I am heartless at times, because it just doesn't happen. I mean Old Yeller didn't even bring tears to me. Though I still don't like how it ends, but that's a story for another time.
Only 3 movies prior brought up an emotional response and I will say this film has become the fourth. I related to it just a little too much, as I have dealt with forms of abuse in my life, and I know others that have as well, and I just felt a connection.
The story is very well told and put, and it made me want to read the books, so I added it to my TBR list. Blake Lively does a great job bringing that emotion and experience to light. As well as her costars they did wonderful in their perspective roles as well to shed light on one big issue in this world! I do hope, despite the negative tension that was apparently on set and surrounding the tour, that you give this movie a chance if you haven't. It is sad, but the story has a very powerful message!

I was very reluctant to go see Trap at first. I didn't go until it was fixing to leave my theater. I'm just not a fan of the M. Night as much as many others I know. No offense, it's just not my type of genre.
With that out there, I decided to go ahead and watch it, and I am so glad I did. It's actually a good film! Interesting to say when the majority of it is in one place, but it is very intense. Kept me hooked, wanting to know what happens next.
Who survives, does someone die? What's the deal? The only thing I would change though if I could is the pointless cliffhanger at the end. Providing that there isn't going to be another addition to the story, but we'll see I suppose, but I honestly can't see another installment coming.
The trailers also kind of annoyed me a little, I kind of would've tried better to keep the audience guessing who the killer is, at least until the movie comes out, because it becomes obvious.
Overall though I quite enjoyed the film and may give M. Night more of a chance moving forward!

I absolutely love Biopic films! I just love history and enjoy watching stories and events especially for those times I don't know. It did put me off that a lot of the elderly viewers are kind of insulting the younger generation. Saying this young generation is to young to understand the events and they just won't respect it. I personally do find that kin of insulting, because it's not hard to sit down and watch a movie and understand it if you pay attention, unless of course the movie is poorly written, which is not the case.
But I digress, I absolutely loved Reagan, and wish I was born just a little while earlier so I can know him a little more. Dennis Quaid was a phenomenal choice for the role. He embodied Reagan very well and brought his story to light, and I think it is important to encourage viewers to see it regardless of age.
I do hope if you haven't seen it you give it a shot! I loved it!

It almost seems that action movies as such is a dying genre... At least in theaters. It might just be me, but it seems that almost all current action movies are just put on Streaming or sent straight to VOD/DVD. So imagine my surprise to have discovered one was coming to the theaters that isn't Fast and Furious or a Superhero movie. Now don't mistaken my words, I do love the Fast and Furious and Superhero movies, but it's nice to see other stories get the spotlight for a change.
For this year I had low hopes for the movie industry. Since the strikes last year nearly all the movies I was looking forward to were delayed. This year just seems to be a rehabilitation year for movies. Basically ones that were done filming or pretty close to it before the strikes began are the ones that are coming out this year. The sad fact of the matter is a lot of people are ditching theaters and just waiting for streaming. I wish they would not release movies on streaming for at least a year. To encourage people to go to the theaters and get home medias back up in sales, because collectors these days are about to lose something they really like, because of streaming takeover. It's just sad that it seems people have forgotten the joys of going to the movies and seeing a movie on the big screen.
Which that being said let us get back to The Beekeeper. As expected, not a lot of people in, but it was one of the best movies so far this year. Using a topic that could actually be a problem in the world today, and I wouldn't be surprised if it actually did happen in a way. Jason Statham brings to life another action film that felt like John Wick on steroids. It has a lot of action, and a top tier cast to bring it fourth! I would for sure watch this movie again and again and I would be interested to see a sequel some time but would be fine if it just turns out to be a one and done film.

The second film I got to see this year has an interesting cast, and an interesting story. It has the same feeling as the Kingsman movies, but that is to be expected because it's done by the same guy.
Argylle to me was kind of a letdown in a way for reasons I went in expecting something that wasn't entirely the case. But despite that I still enjoyed it!
It had funny quirks and nice action sequences! The story was also all over the place! Once you thought what was going to happen it twisted again! Seriously wouldn't guess what's going to happen. In no means was this movie the best movie ever, but for what it was I still loved it! I hope they do more and expand!

IF is probably my favorite movie of the year! It actually impressed me. I went in not expecting much, but it had such an amazing heartfelt story.
They put together an amazing cast that had so much chemistry, even if they didn't know each other before filming. You really can't tell and that just added to it.
I will definitely recommend this movie to families or even to those that just love family films!
